John, Jeremy Leighton
 

Jeremy Leighton John has been Curator of eMANUSCRIPTS and Scientific Curator in the Department of Western Manuscripts at the British Library since 2003, having been Specialist Curator for the W. D. Hamilton Archive from 2000. In 1996 he completed a DPhil. in Zoology at Merton College, University of Oxford, where his research into evolutionary processes involved the use of phylogenetic techniques; he first learned to program at University College London, with FORTRAN using punched cards. He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He works with digital and analogue personal archives of writers, scientists and others, currently leading the Digital Manuscripts Project. He is the Principal Investigator of the Digital Lives Research Project. Membership: the Library Committee of the Royal Society; and the Advisory Committee of the National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contempora Scientists.

Jones, Sarah
 

Sarah Jones works on the Data Audit Framework Development Project at HATII, University of Glasgow and for the Digital Curation Centre (DCC). Until spring this year she managed performing arts collections for the Arts and Humanities Data Service. For the DCC, Sarah investigates curation and preservation policies and is involved in the testbed services work package, evaluating tools from a user needs perspective. Her background is in archiving, having graduated with an MSc in Information Management and Preservation in 2006.
