Au Yeung, Tim

Tim Au Yeung is the Manager of Digital Object Repository Technology with Libraries and Cultural Resources at the University of Calgary. He has worked on a number of large digitization projects including Alberta Heritage Digitization (www.ourfutureourpast.ca) and Our Roots: The Canadian Local Histories (www.ourroots.ca), involving the digitization of millions of pages of Canadian printed history. Currently, he is working on Synergies Canada for scholarly e-publishing in the social sciences and humanities with the specific focus of developing a multi-tiered preservation infrastructure. He has written two guides on digital preservation for museums in Canada that can be found at the Canadian Heritage Information Network (www.chin.gc.ca). When not working on digital preservation at an institutional level, Tim gets to experience digital preservation from the point of view of a creator as a published and exhibited photographer.
