In September 2006, Nancy Y. McGovern became the Digital Preservation Officer at the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). For the five years prior to that, she was the Director of Research and Assessment Services and Digital Preservation Officer at Cornell University Library. She has focused on digital preservation research and practice since 1986, when she began a decade of service on the senior staff of the Center for Electronic Records at the U.S. National Archives. She is completing her PhD on a digital preservation topic through University College London. She co-founded the Society of American Archivists' Research Forum in 2007. Between 2001 and 2006, she served as co-editor of RLG DigiNews from 2001 to 2006 and co-developed of the Digital Preservation Management workshop series and tutorial with Anne R. Kenney beginning in 2002, which she continues to direct.

Aprille Cooke McKay is a Digital Preservation Specialist at ICPSR, where she manages the Digital Preservation Workshop program and serves as a workshop instructor. Previously, she was the Project Manager for the Mellon-funded project, "Developing Standardized Metrics in College and University Archives and Special Collections," based at the UM's School of Information, working with Ax-SNET investigators Elizabeth Yakel, Helen Tibbo and Wendy Duff. She has worked at the Bentley Historical Library, specializing in legal collections, and has also practiced law in the Chicago area. She holds an MSI with specialisation in Archives and Records Management from the UM School of Information, a JD from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. She is a member of SAA's Intellectual Property Working Group, Website Working Group and the Standards Committee.

Rory McLeod is the Digital Preservation Manager for Collection Care at The British Library (BL). Rory is leading a range of new initiatives in digital preservation for the British Library's collection areas. The aim of these initiatives is to provide policy, technical support and guidance in the stewardship of e-collections and information management. The range of responsibilities managed by Rory covers risk management, economic cost modelling, business change and preservation services. Rory also manages external relationships and partnerships involving UK Legal Deposit libraries, Higher Education institutions, Government departments and commercial vendors. Rory provides advice to the British Library on proposed changes or extensions to Legal deposit legislation and its impact on long-term preservation to digital libraries.

Since spring this year, Michael Minkus has been working for the DFG (German Research Foundation)-Study 'Development of organisational and business models for the long-term preservation of digital objects.' Previously, he was Scientific Assistant at the Institute for Mathematics and Operation Research University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich, Germany. There he participated in projects of different industrial and ministerial sponsors in the field of the intelligent document management. From 2001 he worked as Process- and Project Manager for a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Softwarehouse. Michael worked at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich, Germany for four years as a Research Scientist before. Michael M. Minkus holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Management and Diploma in Business Administration from the Technische Universität, Munich, Germany.

Adrienne Muir is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Science, Loughborough University. Her research interests include preservation - especially digital preservation - legal and ethical issues and national information policy. She teaches collection and preservation management, digital preservation, and legal and ethical issues in information and knowledge management. Previously, Adrienne managed Digital Library and Preservation research programmes for the British Library Research and Innovation Centre and the Library and Information Commission. She was a Researcher in information and cultural policy at the Policy Studies Institute and a Curator at the National Library of Scotland.

Ronald Murray is a Digital Conversion Specialist and technology monitor for the Library of Congress' Preservation Directorate. Previously, he performed data modelling tasks at Congressional Quarterly Inc. Ronald J. Murray has pursued doctoral studies in Communication Theory & Research at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. He received an undergraduate degree in Media and Cognition from Brown University, a MLIS from the University of Hawa'i'i at Manoa. He has been "working quietly" with FRBR concepts since 1999.
